And So It Begins...

Monday I start my New Job!!! A little anxious, but very excited. I'll be working at ChildHelp U.S.A.
Most of you probably never heard of this organization ~ a little background it's a non profit agency started in 1959 by 2 women (actresses) to help children..Where I will be houses about 80 kids (between the ages 6 -14)...on about 10 acres of land..these children are at this facility because life hasn't treated them very fair and has left some issues that need to worked out..I was warned about the biting, spitting, hitting and kicking, oh and can't forget about the name calling...but nevertheless I'll be there helping these kids through this and giving them a new release on life..a new way at looking at themselves and the life around them...

I think 1 of the hardest parts of this will be knowing I get to go home to my family and these children do not..Everywhere I've worked I have dealt with parents on a daily basis...and here the staff is their "acting parents" With this in mind I will do my very best at making these children feel loved again. To let them know that life isn't fair, but we can do things to create a positive environment to allow them to grow into fully functioning adults.

Real quick if you're reading this: I believe children are like divining rods...you know how animals can sense when danger is near..well children are like that...when you see soooo many kids in these conditions it starts making you think what is going on in our society that is causing this to happen over and over again...what is lacking in our society that allows children to continue to be abused, neglected, left to fend for themselves...Maybe just maybe it's time to take a step back and look around. And look at your surroundings and the life's you touch...if you see a family in need, make the calls to get them the help...yeah I know there are families out there that don't want the help..whether it be from the warped mind on drugs, or years of living the same way...But you can actively make choices in your life to continue a positive growing human race...It's time for a change...And if enough change happens we can start having a renewed hope for our children and our futures on this earth...What will you do to start the change???

Another Day & No Music

Another Day and no music for her to play..It's like her hands are not hers anymore..They belong to the empty space that takes over in this room..The lame silence that creeps...into her hands. She just sits..and eventually gives up and walks away. Blocked for another Day.
